Board of Directors

The IWA Board of Directors provides strategic oversight and governance for the association. Board members are elected by the membership and serve three-year terms. Our board represents the diversity of the global webcasting community, with expertise spanning corporate communications, media production, education technology, and streaming infrastructure.

The board meets quarterly to review organizational performance, approve strategic initiatives, and ensure alignment with our mission and vision. Board governance is detailed in our bylaws and overseen by the governance committees.

Board Chair

The Board Chair leads IWA's strategic direction, presides over board meetings, and serves as the primary liaison between the board and executive team. The chair ensures that IWA remains focused on advancing professional webcasting through standards, education, and global collaboration.

Vice Chair

The Vice Chair supports the Board Chair in governance responsibilities and leads special initiatives including the annual strategic planning process. The vice chair also oversees the nominations committee for board elections.

Secretary

The Secretary maintains official records of board proceedings, ensures compliance with governance requirements, and coordinates communication between board members. This role oversees the integrity of IWA's historical archives and official documentation.

Treasurer

The Treasurer oversees IWA's financial health, including budget development, financial reporting, and audit coordination. This role ensures transparent stewardship of member dues and organizational resources.

Executive Team

The IWA executive team manages day-to-day operations and implements the strategic direction set by the board. Our executives bring extensive experience in association management, technology standards development, and professional education.

Executive Director

The Executive Director serves as IWA's chief executive, responsible for organizational leadership, external relations, and operational excellence. This role represents IWA to industry partners, government bodies, and the global media community.

Director of Standards

The Director of Standards leads IWA's technical standards development program, coordinating working groups and managing the publication of our standards library. This role ensures that IWA standards reflect current technology and industry best practices.

Director of Education

The Director of Education oversees IWA's course development, certification programs, and learning resources. This role ensures that IWA education programs meet the evolving needs of webcasting professionals worldwide.

Director of Membership

The Director of Membership manages member services, recruitment, and retention programs. This role develops member benefits that deliver value to individual and corporate members across all tiers.

Advisory Council

The IWA Advisory Council comprises industry leaders who provide strategic counsel to the board and executive team. Advisory council members represent major technology vendors, content producers, enterprise users, and academic institutions. Their insights help ensure that IWA remains relevant to the evolving needs of the webcasting industry.

Regional Coordinators

IWA's global presence is supported by regional coordinators who facilitate local engagement in North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific, and Latin America. Regional coordinators organize local events, coordinate with national broadcasting associations, and ensure that IWA standards and programs serve the diverse needs of webcasters worldwide.
